“It’s is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves” – Shakespeare .
Hello I am Shreya Bhattacharya an educationist by profession and a fashion model by passion. I am super excited to share my journey with you all today, thanks to BOGO GIRL for being the voice! Born in the city of joy I am a true Bengali at heart and a philotherian. After pursuing my academic degrees, I proceeded as an English linguistic teacher inculcating students with respect for culture and education. Destiny took it’s turn after I become the first runner up in PC Chandra Goldlites Diva pageant and my journey as a fashion and runway model started.
Since then I started to rediscover the brighter side working with renowned designers and brands, magazines, hoardings, International photography workshops, fashion houses and boutiques. I have walked the ramp at premier fashion events like Blenders Pride Fashion Week, NIFT, INIFD and so on. I am featured as a brand face for a few renowned fashion houses in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangladesh. I also had the opportunity to work in a couple of movies (Kelor Kirti ,Tomake Chai) under SVF and Surinder Films respectively.
It’s been a glorious 6 years and still counting and I am grateful to my mother and all my well wishers for the encouragement and support. I am thankful to be an inspiration to people around as my students look upon me as their role model and learn how to maintain balance and schedule priorities fruitfully in life. There is never a short cut to success but surely a moment to cherish it .
I worked with BOGO GIRL, I must say the experience was fantastic , Rajib sir just brought out the best looks of mine which have been featured here in this issue the looks which were unseen previously, whole team was very energetic and work was done so smoothly. It was an awesome experience and I would love to work with BOGO GIRL sooner.
